• Engine Oil:
  • Petrol Engines: 5 liters — 229.5 Specification
  • Diesel engines: 5.8 liters — 229.51 Specification.
• Oil filter
• Drain plug washer

Tools needed:

• Jack and 2 jack stands, car lift or 2 ramps
• 8mm, 13mm, 27mm sockets
• Long extension (50 cm or bigger)
• Ratchet(s)
• Oil Drain Pan that holds 6 liters
• Funnel

Torque specifications:

• Drain plug: 30 N.m (22 lb.ft)
• Oil filter: 25 N.m (18 lb.ft)

1. Open the bonnet/hood;
2. Raise the car with a jack and support it with jack stands / put the car on ramps;
3. Remove splash shield using an 8mm socket and racket to remove the 4 (or 6) screws;
4. Drain the oil using using a 13mm socket and racket to remove the drain plug;
5. Remove oil filter 'cap' using a 27mm socket, long extension and racket;
6. Replace the oil filter and the 'cap'‘s o-rings. Put a little bit of oil in the new o-rings once they are in place;
7. Install the oil filter 'cap' with the new filter torque it 25 N.m (18 lb.ft);
8. Replace the drain plug washer, install the drain plug and torque it 30 N.m (22 lb.ft);
9. Add the oil;
10. Let the car sit for a few minutes and check the oil level;
11. Close the bonnet/hood;
12. Reset Service Reminder.

4. Scroll down to FULL SERVICE and press OK;
5. Choose the type of service been performed and press OK;
6. Scroll down to to CONF. FULL SERV. and press OK;
7. Select the appropriate oil grade being used and press OK;
8. Select CONFIRM and press OK;
9. Verify if the reset was successful by checking the ASSYST PLUS status.

In 2016, the Mercedes-Benz brand is estimated at 43.490 billion dollars, holding the second place (after Toyota) among car manufacturers and the ninth place among all brands of the world. According to BrandZ, in 2016 the brand ranks 39th among the most expensive brands with a value of 22.708 billion dollars.

The lineup

The current classification of cars was developed in the mid-1990s. Each class (German Klasse) designates the body type and market segment, for example: SL – Sport Leicht ('sporty, light' – roadster); CLK – Comfort-Leicht-Kurz ('comfortable, light, shortened' – a coupe of medium size); G – Geländewagen (SUV) and the like. In 2015, the names of some classes were revised. So, for example, the M-class was called the GLE-class, and the GL-class was called the GLS-class.
